Testimonial:
To Whom
it May Concern,
I am writing to tell you of a Dr.'s
wonderful performance. My son Michael
E. Baerlin had been seen at the
ER for an earache on April 16th,
Dr. Jabaly was the attending physician.
He prescribed Amoxicillin.
By that evening Michael was vomiting
it back up and another call was
placed to Dr. Jabaly and Zithromax
was called in for him. His fever
continued and no improvement followed
over the next two days.
Michael continued to scream and
cry through the night. On Wednesday
morning we returned to ER and again
Dr. Jabaly was the attending physcian.
He gave Michael a shot of Rocephin
and told him to return again that
night for another shot. During
the day he developed a large lump
behind his ear and his fever continued
to remain around 104 degrees.
On his return visit, Dr. Jabaly
confirmed the lump as Mastoiditis
and made a quick call to Dr. Michael
Disher in Fort Wayne and informed
him of what he thought and an early
next day appointment was scheduled.
Since we have another younger son
at home, I stayed behind. I received
a call from my husband a couple
of hours later that they were going
to do emergency surgery that evening
to remove the mass of infection
from behind Michael's ear. The
infection was located 2 inches
from the brain and within one inch
from the facial nerve. It took
approximately 2 1/2 hours to remove.
If not for the quick thinking of
Dr. George Jabaly our son may not
have lived.
Dr. Disher stated that if it had
been let go another day or two,
Meningitis, brain damage, or even
death would have been inevitable.
I cannot thank him enough for his
quick actions in my son's care.
May God bless him for his wonderfully
correct diagnosis of our son's
infection.
